HOMEBUSH – STATE ABATTOIRS
(Homebush – Dixon St, Flemington may have been a short working or subsidiary of Route 101, perhaps an ‘industrial’ route, as it is shown in the Doran Report as a separate route having the same operator.  Dixon St was a short side street off the eastern side of Marlborough Rd, located where Centenary Dr now runs.)

PARRAMATTA – PENNANT HILLS via Pennant Hills Rd
1932:  Commenced by John Morrow.  WA Atkins ran in competition.
By October 1935:  Atkins was given a license to operate jointly with Morrow on the basis that timetables did not conflict.  Morrow operated as 101 and Atkins and as 101A.
By 1945:  Atkins’ license transferred to Parramatta-Epping Bus Service (Moore family) [later Harris Park Transport].
December 1946:  Moores’ share transferred to Richards Bros.
December 1947:  Richards Bros’ license re-transferred to Parramatta-Epping Bus Service.
March 1958:  Morrow’s license transferred to Moore family, whose trading name changed to Harris Park Transport in 1958, giving it full control of route.
15 September 1985:  Rerouted within Parramatta CBD coincident with introduction of changed traffic conditions.
9 November 1996:  Sunday service provided by extension of 181 (Parramatta – North Rocks) from North Rocks to Pennant Hills.
June 1997:  Renumbered 625 in the Sydney Region Route Number System.

Route 102
CENTRAL RAILWAY – LIDCOMBE via Parramatta Rd & Frances St
General:  For some or all of its life, there were two variants of this route between Lidcombe and Parramatta Rd:

OATLEY – GUNGAH BAY (also referred to as South Oatley)
May 1946:  Commenced by PM Gay.
1948:  Transferred to Gay & Kinkad.
1949:  Transferred to WJ Rogers.
Circa 1955:  The operators of 117 & 118 came to an agreement whereby each would operate the other’s route during slack/off-peak periods.  Transport requirements required the two operators’ names to appear together as owners.  As Lind was the operator of 118 from 1955 to 1968, his name was shown as operator jointly with each of the operators of 117 below from 1955 to 1969, when Sanders became sole operator of both routes.
December 1955:  Transferred to Pillar.
?:  Transferred to Balafas.
May 1963:  Transferred to Alan Edmund Street.

23 December 1946:  Extra route, Wynyard – Longueville, commenced, in response to cancellation of Circular Quay-Figtree ferry.  The ferry service was originally cut and the new bus route ran during the weekday off-peak and Saturday & Sunday afternoons.  But the ferry service was gradually cut at other times and the bus service correspondingly expanded until it ran full time by 10 November 1950.
8 July 1955:  Longueville – Penrose St ceased, when 95 was transferred from Longueville Motor Bus Co to Hunters Hill Bus Co.

As at date of Govt Gazette 13 November 1925:  Being operated by JC Bowerman (who later incorporated as Bowerman Motor Co and possibly later Pioneer Motor Bus Service).
31 October 1931:  The route was deemed competitive with trams or trains under the State Transport (Co-ordination) Act as from 2 November 1931 and paid tax.
1 October 1933:  Taken over by DRTT.

CROWS NEST – ST LEONARDS – ARTARMON – WHITING ST
17 November 1948:  St Leonards – Artarmon commenced by O Horsefield (WG (Bill) Threlfall acted as manager).
14 November 1949:  Extended from Artarmon to Whiting St.
2 January 1951 to February 1951:  128 & 192 amalgamated as 128 Crows Nest – Artarmon – Mowbray Rd West, either via Willoughby or via Herbert St (including trips to Whiting St, Artarmon).
February 1951:  Transferred to Artarmon Red Bus Service (WG Threlfall).  The extension from St Leonards to Crows Nest was retained.
1956:

8 February 1961:  Bill Threlfall died and service passed to his widow, Mrs ML Threlfall.
May 1962:  Extra industrial service, Crows Nest – Gore Hill, commenced, running via Frederick St, Reserve Rd, Dickson Save, Clarendon St to Hotham Pde (? how long lasted).
May 1965:  Mrs ML Threlfall died and service passed to her estate.
30 June 1965:  Threlfall’s buses repossessed and service transferred to Colin & Mervyn Sinclair on a temporary basis.
16 August 1965:  Transferred to Artarmon Bus Service (David J Denholme).
By 1971:  Service between Artarmon & Whiting St ceased, as area had altered from residential to industrial.
30 July 1985:  Transferred to Lane Cove Bus Service (Macquarie Town Bus Service).
February 1986:  Some trips ran between Artarmon & St Leonards via Artarmon East & Naremburn (area served by 43 in late 1970s and 128 prior to that).
